At my short time recently working at Isobar, I worked the UX on a small project for LEGO Duplo.

Coming from a LEGO obsessed household this caused quite some excitement.

One of the joys of freelancing is the freedom it gives you to travel.

I recently have been lucky enough to leave on an adventure that took me around South East and Southern Asia. It has led me to think a lot about the life experiences encountered on adventures such as these; battling the hectic hustle and bustle of the Khao San Road or learning a brand new life skill such as Scuba Diving and how they can add real value to your work life.

When I said to my family I would be visiting Cambodia for a month she was amazed. Not that I would choose to visit that country in particular, but that in her lifetime one of her children would be able to visit and do so safely.

She was even more amazed when I messaged her a few days in and told her how in love with the country I was.

Every woman that works in design and technology is well aware that it is a male dominated industry.

And so when I get to work on projects that are aimed at encouraging women to be involved in technology it really puts a spring in my step.

Project like these I just love.

A vision, be it that of an individual, small group or startup, that I can help bring to life. Simplicious was the vision of entrepreneur Jeffrey Lennon. Together we created a logo, stationary and marketing materials that would encompass the four aspects of the lifestyle brand he wanted to develop: Dance, beauty, culture and community.
